Aescin
Aescin is a natural compound most commonly extracted from the seeds of the horse chestnut tree. It belongs to a group of substances known as saponins, which are plant-derived compounds that often show biological activity in the human body. For many years, aescin has attracted attention because of its role in supporting vascular health and reducing swelling associated with poor circulation, injury, or inflammation. It is widely studied for its ability to help strengthen capillary walls and improve the tone of veins, making it a useful ingredient in products aimed at leg discomfort, heaviness, and edema. One of the most notable features of aescin is its anti-inflammatory effect. It may help reduce the release of inflammatory mediators and limit fluid leakage from blood vessels into surrounding tissues. This action can contribute to a decrease in swelling and a feeling of relief in areas affected by trauma or venous insufficiency. Because of these properties, aescin is often included in formulations designed for topical or oral use, depending on the intended purpose and product design.Aescin is also valued for its potential to support microcirculation. Healthy circulation at the capillary level is important for delivering oxygen and nutrients to tissues while removing waste products. When circulation is impaired, symptoms such as tenderness, swelling, and a sense of pressure may occur. By helping maintain vessel integrity, aescin may assist the body in managing these issues more effectively. This makes it especially relevant in situations involving long periods of standing, travel, or recovery from minor injuries. In addition to its vascular benefits, aescin has been investigated for antioxidant activity. Antioxidants help protect cells from oxidative stress caused by free radicals, which can contribute to tissue damage and aging processes. While its primary reputation is related to circulation and swelling, this additional property adds to its overall scientific interest.Aescin is typically found in standardized extracts, where the concentration of active compounds is controlled for consistency. Standardization is important because natural materials can vary depending on the source, harvesting conditions, and extraction method. Careful formulation helps ensure predictable performance and safety in final products.Like many active botanical ingredients, aescin should be used appropriately and with attention to dosage and formulation quality. People with sensitivity to plant extracts or those taking other medicines should consider potential interactions and consult a qualified professional when needed. Despite this caution, aescin remains a well-known and widely respected natural ingredient, especially in products focused on vein support, swelling relief, and circulatory wellness.Overall, aescin is a versatile botanical compound with a long history of use and ongoing scientific interest. Its combination of anti-inflammatory, circulation-supporting, and antioxidant properties makes it an important ingredient in natural health applications.

Liposomal Aescin 70% High Bioavailability Vasoprotective and Anti-Edema Supplement
분류: Others조회수: 44번호:릴리스 시간: 2026-10-20 20:10:05Premium Liposomal Aescin 70% Venous Tone and Microcirculation Support Formula Product Summary Liposomal Aescin 70% is a high-purity, liposomal-encapsulated form of β-aescin—the principal bioactive triterpene saponin complex extracted from Aesculus hippocastanum L. (horse chestnut) seeds—standardized to ≥70% aescin content. Aescin is a mixture of closely related triterpene saponins, primarily consisting of escin Ia, Ib, IIa, and IIb, and is the active principle responsible for the anti-edematous, anti-inflammatory, and venotonic properties of horse chestnut seed extract. However, native aescin presents significant formulation challenges including strong irritation, short half-life, and low oral bioavailability, which limit its clinical utility. Liposomal encapsulation within a phospholipid bilayer addresses these fundamental limitations. A liposomal formulation of sodium aescinate (SA-Lip-I) achieved a mean particle size of 117.33 ± 0.95 nm, a polydispersity index of 0.140 ± 0.017, and a zeta potential of −30.34 ± 0.23 mV, with cumulative release exceeding 80% at 12 hours. Importantly, the liposomal formulation demonstrated 2.12-fold higher LD50 compared to commercial sodium aescinate injection, with significantly milder venous irritation and no hemolysis at 37°C. This water-dispersible powder is suitable for capsules, functional beverages, and nutritional formulations targeting venous health, edema management, and microcirculation support. Each batch is HPLC-standardized and quality-tested for purity, identity, and aescin content.
